USB3.1 Gen 2 Cameras
Pixelink's M-Series and PL-D line of cameras will be built to integrate with USB3.1 Gen 2 specifications starting in early 2018. With a bus speed mode of 10Gbps, the USB3.1 Gen 2 interface can deliver more than double the throughput of the current existing USB3.0. The USB3.1 Gen 2 interface supports a maximum of 20V at 5A for a total of 100W of power, a big increase from the 4.5W supported by USB3.0. With the increase of power being delivered with USB3.1 Gen 2 and a 10GB bus, more cameras can be powered by the USB3.1 bus for any vision application.
