The Hailo-15 is an AI vision processor, specifically designed for intelligent cameras and edge systems. At the core of this technology is a powerful system-on-a-chip (SoC) that includes a Quad-Core A53 ARM Processor. With a clock speed of 1.3GHz, the processor provides the necessary computing power for a variety of applications and ensures that the camera can handle demanding tasks in real-time. An Image Signal Processor (ISP) ensures precise processing and optimization of image signals, leading to high-quality image and video results. The integrated AI processor achieves an impressive 20TOPS in 8-bit integer format, supporting a massive parallel architecture. This enables efficient and rapid analysis of complex data streams directly at the camera. With a H.264/H.265 video encoder efficient compression and transmission of video streams without compromising image quality is possible.
The integrated ISP allows for high-quality post-processing of captured images. Key functions are Digital Zoom, Flip, and Rotation. These features allow for flexible adjustment and viewing of video footage without any loss of quality. Digital Image Stabilization ensures stable and clearer images, even in challenging recording situations. The Lens Distortion Correction guarantees distortion-free display, even when using wide-angle or fisheye lenses. The embedded AI provides extensive capabilities for data analysis and interpretation. Noise Reduction offers enhanced image quality by reducing image noise. Object Detection and Segmentation allows for precise identification and analysis of objects, which is particularly beneficial for security and operational applications. Smart Logistics and Intelligent Warehousing simplifies the identification and tracking of products and materials in real-time.
Integration of Nvidia and More
With the possibility of a Nvidia Jetson host system, additional powerful features are provided like Generative AI (GenAI), which enables the simulation of complex scenarios and the training of AI-powered systems: Vehicle Classification and Traffic Planning assists city and traffic planners in optimizing traffic flows and vehicle monitoring. Advanced Models for Monitoring are possible e.g. for People and Vehicle Counting, Waste Sorting, Traffic Sign Recognition, Pothole and Graffiti Detection and many more. Variants with additional adapters and different camera modules are planned. Alternative interface options are already planned to further enhance the camera's flexibility and adaptability; a stereo camera version is also being developed. This ensures that the Hailo-15 AI camera continues to meet evolving requirements and applications.
