The AIRSKIN®Safetyflange is a safe flange adapter with an active sensor element for human-robot collaboration.The AIRSKIN®Safetyflange monitors the displacement of a tool or workpiece in x, y and z directions as well astorsion around the z-axis.
If a tool or workpiece that is attached to the AIRSKIN®Safetyflange collides with anobstacle, the flange adapter is deflected against the sensor element and a safe stop signal is sent to the robotcontroller.
The AIRSKIN®Safetyflange is particularly suitable for implementing safe pick-and-place applications or otherstraightforward manipulation applications.
