Varioptic Variable Focus Liquid Lenses enables fast Autofocus with no moving parts.
The Liquid Lens technology from Varioptic can withstand millions of Cycle with no degradation. They feature also a unique resistance to vibrations and mechanical shocks, as well as low power consumption and no acoustic noise.
The Caspian C family is a combination of a Liquid Lens and an Imaging lens, with the control electronics. It requires a DC voltage from 3.3V to 24V to operate, as well as an I²C/SPI/RS232-12V or RS232-3.3V interface. Analog driving is also possible.
The Caspian C lens is fully compatible with some existing C-Mount cameras, from Pixelink or Matrox. The combination of the Caspian C with one if these cameras enable a closed loop AF with no additional development.
